We are excited to share our first report on the use of digital media by European trade associations. 

Over the summer of 2015, our digital team analysed the social media and online presence of over 600 Brussels-based industry groups working on European public policy issues.

The results provide a detailed overview of which associations are active on social media and what channels they use. Our research shows that there is still room for improvement and growth.

- Data was collected in July-August 2015
- The 609 EU-based trade associations were extracted from the DODS’ 2014 European Public Affairs Directory in the category ‘European Trade and Professional Associations’
- For this research we excluded non-European and international trade associations, NGOs and other non-industry bodies
