Through our app, Eussentials, we provide public information about European civil servants and news feeds taken from official institutional websites.
If you are a European civil servant, Cambre, as a controller, only processes your personal data originating from publicly accessible sources (professional data such as name, surname, position, political party, photography and/or email address) based on our legitimate interest to exercise our right to freedom of information and to conduct a business. Such data are made available in our app for the purpose of public dissemination of information of general interest for the benefit of the public. We also may communicate them to our current or potential partners for the purpose of public relations or public affairs. In any case, we only keep the data as long as the European civil servant holds her/his position.
We may also require access to the following information from the user of the app provided that, when downloading this app, you have consented to the processing of the following information:
- App usage statistics such as pages visited and subscriptions,
- Location services (only to show your position on the map),
- Calendar (write only access, without access to your calendar).
We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular to customise your app experience, through subscriptions and notifications and to improve our products and services. We will not sell, distribute or lease any data to third parties unless we are required by law to do so. Such information will always be treated as confidential and never made public. We will only keep your data for the time needed to provide the service you expect from the app.
Usage data are collected by Google/Apple and cannot be tracked to individual users.

a. If we work together or are considering to do so:
If you are part of our client base (or working for one of our clients) or have contacted us as a prospect, Cambre, as a controller, processes personal data that you provided us with during our previous contact (identification data such as your name, surname, position, professional email address, postal address) for the purpose of clients administration (client management, invitation to our own events, marketing etc.) and maintaining contact with you.
If you are a supplier, Cambre, as a controller, processes personal data that you provided us with during our previous contact (identification data such as your name, surname, position, professional email address, postal address) for the purpose of supplier administration (contract management, purchasing, invoicing, marketing, etc.) and maintaining contact with you.
Such processing is based on our legitimate interest to conduct our business. We will not sell or communicate your data to third parties unless we are required by law to do so. In any case, your personal data are only processed as long as it is necessary for the above-mentioned purposes.
b. If we are contacting you on behalf of one of our clients:
If you received an email invitation to an event or a meeting relating to a matter that might interest you due to your professional activities, chances are that we are processing your personal data as a processor, on behalf of our client, who is the controller. The identity and the contact details of the controller are mentioned in the email received.
Only personal data originating from publicly accessible sources (professional identification data such as your name, surname, position, political party, photography and/or email address) are being processed, based on the legitimate interest of the controller (our client) to exercise its right to freedom of expression or information and/or to conduct its business.
Your data are processed for the purpose of developing and maintaining public and professional relations with you. They are only disclosed to the processor and the controller or to any third party if it is required by law and are only processed as long as it is necessary for the above-mentioned purpose.
c. Association members
If you are a member/natural personal of an association or a representative of a legal entity which is a member of an association, we process your personal data as a processor, on behalf of the association that you or your legal entity is a member of and for the purpose of member administration.
Only identification data (names, surname, date and place of birth, sex, nationality, civil status, address, position, etc.) necessary for compliance with the Law of 27 June 1921 on non-profit associations, foundations and international non-profit associations are processed.
Data are not sold or communicated to third parties unless it is required by law or by judicial or administrative authorities. Your data are only processed as long as it is necessary for a proper member administration.
2. Your rights as data subject
In all the above-mentioned cases and in compliance with the conditions set out in the GDPR, you may at any time obtain information on the processing performed, the rectification of inaccurate data we may hold, the erasure of data or the restriction of the processing. You may also exercise your right to data portability or object to the processing of your personal data.
